2012年12月起，敝委員會於港澳地區將向各位及各界別贈送「百萬森林(願望)草」。「百萬森林(願望)草」由香港區委員會命名。該草是一種很特別的薄荷葉，選擇該草命名為「百萬森林(願望)草」，是因為該草是由一名鄉村客家人於2010年5月於大嶼山地區贈送給敝委員會，而我們香港區的委員會是於2010年6月成立（組織HKGNU則於1998年7月成立），故此草在時間上見證著委員會這三年來的成長。此外，此草非常粗生，不論在嚴冬還是炎夏，乾旱或潮濕的地方，它均表現出堅毅頑強的一面，繁衍下一代。2010年05月，敝委員會在接受該草後，於首半年放了在香港城市大學安種繁殖，2011年放了在粉嶺丹山河自然生態保育區的溫室內繼續培植，2012年中葉，部分搬運至離島區繼續種植，2012年11月敝委員會把部分草種贈送給澳門區委員會在澳門繁殖。為感謝它這數年的陪伴，故敝委員會決定命名這種介乎由伊蘭到手香（薄荷的一種）和檸檬薄荷組成的薄荷品種為「百萬森林(願望)草」，作伴手禮（手信）或紀念品送給各界作致謝或紀念。

- 可直接或曬乾後伴菜。
- 可曬乾後當香草使用放於室內，可提神，及舒緩神經。
- 可用作驅蚊，或把葉汁塗於皮膚上避免蚊釘蟲咬。
- 當作觀賞盆栽種植。

- 把其莖浸在水中種植
- 把其莖插在培養土上種植
- 約一個月便會長出不定根，開始正常生長
- 待新葉長出後，便可摘下葉子使用
- 不需施加肥料，適當澆水及日照便可

「百萬森林(願望)草」是「國際百萬森林計劃」香港區委員會的教育推廣伴手禮（手信）之一。「百萬森林」計劃 ( Million Trees / Forest Project, Million Trees / Forest Network ) [ Projet des arbres de million / de million d'arbres ] ，是一個最初由聯合國環境署為首成立的全球網絡，目的在抗沙漠化、綠化造林、推動環境可持續發展的項目。2009年設立，香港在2010年承諾加入並履行項目的任務。
